Round 2:
The girls had an amazing game against Glenhaven on Saturday. They did go down to
Glenhaven 7-4, a great improvement from last week.
The girls did some amazing work on their passing, defence, shooting. We did some work
at training last week and they used everything they
had learnt which was great to see. Zara did some get feeding into the circle, Caitlyn
did some really great defence work working alongside Tiffani and Katherine.
Our shooters this week were able to score some more goals than last week, which was
good to see. They are each week working more and more as a team. we had some little
power houses in the middle court, Sewmini, Alexander and Skye working well to get the
ball to the goal. Sewmini and Zara did some great work working together getting the
ball into the goal.
They may have lost the game, but it would have to be the best time the girls have
played together, there was no goals scored in the first half of the game they were 2
goals behind the whole of the 3rd quarter, then in the last quarter they won but they still went down which
was perfectly fine, they had lots of fun.
Round 1
Saturday was an experience, which the girls will never forget. It was the first time
they all played as a team. I am very proud of them, for the effort they all put into the game. They did happen to
go down to the raging red St Bernadettes 21-2. There was some excellent team work going down in the defence, Tiffani and
Caitlyn, working well together. some fast foot work from Skye and
Sewmini. The shooting from Zara and Alex, well done girls. Player of the week went to Caitlyn who played an excellent game in GD. Hope to see your skills
improve throughout the season.
