Cropleys defeated Castle Hill Sports 35-23
Just like to say how excited I am to be coaching this team this year.
Its a big ask to go into the 2nd Cadet grade AND on the coat tails of Mrs E, but I am sure we(me) are up to the challenge
Playing the team you beat in the 2011 GF first off is always tricky, but the Cropleys were up to the task
New to the team, Shannon played C for the whole game (while Elise took the day off to prepare for her sweet 15th birthday party), and really worked hard in both attack and defence.
In usual Cropley style it was their huge work ethic that saw us pull away in the end.
We possibly could have been a little more efficient with getting the ball down the other end, a lot of passing around the centre third
but with the defence getting stronger each quarter and the attacking section working so hard to get the ball to our shooters it was a comfortable 12 goal win in the end

Round 1 Brodies vs Rams Lost 61 to 13
Today the Brodies struggled against an older and much bigger team.
After a very slow start there was a much more positive second half and some great passages of play.
I was thrilled you girls did not give up and actually improved during the game - finding some answers along the way and managing to score some goals - our objective for the day. Well done Brodies and special mention to Shannon who played her first game of netball today and did a great job.

Unfortunately we started the game too slow, we need to come out firing right from the start next week, good to see everyone back playing netball again
